Plot: Documentary about serial killer Ted Bundy that asks the question whether obsession with pornography was the cause of his crimes.
My rating: 8/10
Will I watch it again? Yeah.
This UK doc shows how Bundy manipulated the media, specifically the hardcore religious nutter James Dobson (founder of Focus on the Family), into blaming his self-proclaimed addiction of pornography for leading him down his dark path of serial killing. Bundy gave Dobson the privelege of giving him his last interview before his execution. Dobson bought it hook, line and sinker because it fit into his own m.o. Dobson's FotF spearheaded the war against pornography so it was only natural that he would be suckered into Bundy's lies. He used them after Bundy's death as ammunition citing that porn can lead to killing. Ugh.
This doc interviews a lot of people who knew Bundy and those on all sides of the issue and they do a very good job of disproving Bundy's claim. As always, these UK documentaries are outstanding. They're short (this one's about 48 minutes) and they pack a lot of information that holds your attention. Start watching it on YouTube (above).
