Will I watch it again? Yeah.
I freakin' love this movie. Saw it twice in the theater in '96. Had the laserdisc. I've got the DVD. I 'might' just get the Blu-ray if there's any fucking extras on it. It's hilarious. The cast is riotously funny. It's one of Danny Elfman's best scores in the past twenty years. The special effects are great and I love the creature designs. The ONLY thing that would make this movie better is more humor in the second half. For as much as I dig this movie it's the last thirty or so that suffer. After the aliens have established themselves as enemies of the planet, the gags are cut in half.
For me the standout performance is Rod Steiger. He fucking slays me as the frustrated Army general who wants to stop pussyfooting around and attack these fuckers. Damn he's hilarious.
And if there's no other reason to see this, it's Tom "FUCKING" Jones!!! (cue the music).
