Will I watch it again? Yes, Guv'ner!
The boys of the Flying Squad are back and are trying to crack a case that's almost as fun as the first picture. Everything I said about SWEENEY! (1977) holds true to this film as well. Although there isn't as much action, it's still a great little police procedural that has a bit of a twist with the criminals living in another country.
There's a great scene where Carter (Waterman) shows up to diffuse a bomb. And then there's Regan (Thaw) trying to bed the birds. It is a gritty crime drama but it's not without some great sarcastic dialogue and delivery by Thaw. The other night I watched the first film and without missing a beat I went right to this one. These movies were an extension of the very popular show called, THE SWEENY (1975-1978) and from what I've heard, the show is even better. Can't wait.
