My rating: 7.5/10

Will I watch it again? Yes.

John Thaw as Regan is a badass! I really dig UK crime pictures from the 70s. After watching this one and the sequel I discovered that this was a TV series that ran for four seasons for about 53 episodes starting in 1975. I am so impressed with Thaw's performance and the way the other characters interacted (like Waterman as Det. Sgt. George Carter) that I've gotten my hands on the show and I can't wait to delve into them.

These guys are tough and don't take any bullshit and they don't always win. I love the cynical '70s. The story's pretty good and there's some great action and kick ass music but it's the performances that really make this worth watching. After watching the two movies back to back I'm so excited that there are several dozens of hours of TV episodes to more of their adventures on the streets of London.

  1. One of the best British action films ever, especially from the 1970s. John Thaw and Dennis Waterman will ALWAYS be Regan & Carter, no question!
