My rating: 4.5/10

Will I watch it again? Your game, I quit.

There's not much to say about this one. It's your average-at-best comedy that isn't really funny but it's likable enough not to hate yourself that much for watching it. Bert Convy makes a pleasant lead even though he looks like Tom Jones-lite...

The next time I have sex I'm gonna sport some wrist bands! Look out, ladies!

...and then you've got the great Phil Silvers!

Convy looks like Adonis compared to tennis pro Bobby Riggs (right).
"Tennis, Baby, yeah!

He's a lot of fun but there's not much else of interest. It does include a sports montage complete with cheesy song! Think of this as being a made for TV movie that plays like watching the back story BEFORE the leads walk onto The Love Boat TV show where you get to see how it all ends. That's probably the best way to describe it. It's harmless and largely unfunny except for the dated songs, clothing and hair.
