Policewomen (1974)

Director: Lee Frost

Starring: Sondra Currie, Tony Young, Phil Hoover, Elizabeth Stuart, Jeannie Bell, Chuck Daniel, William Smith, Wes Bishop

More info: IMDb

Tagline: Cold steel on the outside...all woman on the inside!

Plot: Lacy Bond (Currie) is a dedicated cop with a thirst for adventure. No case is too tough for Lacy, who's fully prepared to do what it takes -- no matter what the job entails -- to nab the criminals she's after. Targeting an all-female band of smugglers who are spiriting gold illegally into the country, Lacy soon discovers that, though the smugglers may look like harmless, bikini-clad mavens on the outside, they're steely on the inside.

My rating: 6.5/10

Will I watch it again? Yes.

#131 on Drive-In Delirium Vol. 1 (part of the Trailer Trash Project)

From the start, you know this is a special kind of picture...

Even though it doesn't hold your interest like this throughout the entire flick, it comes pretty damn close. The acting is cheesy and downright bad in some cases (particularly the main villain and her not-so-bright much younger husband (see one of the videos below for a great laugh at his shinning moment). There's a surprising amount of action and nudity. It's a great little exploitation action flick that will put a smile on your face. I would recommend having a movie night with your friends and put this on a double bill with SUPERCHICK (1973). I guarantee you'll have a night to remember with two ass kicking, stand up broads who don't take shit from nobody!
