My rating: 8/10

Will I watch it again? Sure.

#16 of 31 Days of Horror 2010.

After watching the unusual AFTERMATH (1994) I just had to see what else this crazy cat has done and beside THE ABANDONED (2006) which I watched last year, there was this one. Like AFTERMATH, it's only a half hour in length and there's no dialogue. It's also more accessible to mainstream audiences since there's no necrophilia going on.

If you like an artistic slant to your horror and genre fare then you can't go wrong with this one. It's a beautiful little picture where most every image looks as though it belongs hanging on a wall. The premise is simple but it's the artistry of the execution that makes it worth your time. Like the other film, this one is available to watch instantly on Netflix.

  1. I really wanted to watch this, but I'm a nut for spoilers and like to know how things are going to end before I start them, and I was wondering if it is explained how it is that the sculptors flesh is being ripped away- or do you just need to draw your own conclusions?

  2. Geez, I can't remember and I don't have the movie. I watched it on Netflix streaming and I cancelled my subscription earlier this month. I wish I could be of more help. I generally keep all of the films I like and give away the ones I don't to my friends to torture them.
