Tagline: Hell of a way to end a partnership.
Plot: Four tales of crime adapted from Frank Miller's popular comics, focusing around a muscular brute who's looking for the person responsible for the death of his beloved Goldie, a man fed up with Sin City's corrupt law enforcement who takes the law into his own hands after a horrible mistake, a cop who risks his life to protect a girl from a deformed pedophile, and a hitman looking to make a little cash.
My rating: 8/10
Will I watch it again? Yes.
I think I've only seen this twice now; once in the theater and once on DVD. I really love the look of the film. It's also violent, gritty and loaded with some great performances (I'm especially looking at you, Mickey Rourke), not to mention some great laughs (I LOVE the shot to the neck guy when he says, "Heyyyy"). The ONLY thing that gets me is it starts to drag around the 2/3 mark. I'll give it another shot and try to figure out what exactly it is but I'll still enjoy the picture overall. Like everyone else I've been waiting for the damn sequel which it looks like it has been pushed back to next year. Can't wait!
