Would I watch it again? Abso-fucking-lutely!

This is nothing more than a collection of movie trailers from the glory days of the grindhouse cinemas of the 60s, 70s & 80s. All are presented in widescreen and most are filled with scratches, pops and dirt...just the way we like 'em!

This is the first of 5 (so far) trailer compilations released by the fantastic Synapse Films (www.synapse-films.com). While I prefer some of the later discs, this is a worthy entry to a world of the outrageous. If you're not familiar with what "grindhouse" is, it's essentially exploitation genre cinema - the stuff that probably didn't play in the general audience theaters populated by Hollywood films. These are the films that came from the other side of the tracks - the films your mother warned you about - the films that make movies fun for adults.


You've got more than two hours of Horror, Nunsploitation, XXX (incl. one with Sylvester Stallone!), Kung Fu, Nazisploitation, Action, Sex Comedy, Blaxploitation, Mondo Documentary, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Biker...you name it!

For those unfamiliar with the grindhouse moniker and all that it encompasses, do yourself a favor and start here. You'll certainly find more than a handful of films (many now on DVD thanks to compilations like these) that will do more than pique your interest.
