Will I watch it again? Yes.
This was fascinating. I really didn't know what to expect, knowing only that it was a porn doc made in '85. The film makers make a serious effort to take you from how girls get a start in the business through a modelling agency to photography to making films and selling them in stores. They follow a few girls from their introduction to the business to their retirement (it doesn't take long for some of them) as well as interviews with the men behind the scenes. Jim South stood out. He's a modelling agent that helps girls get started in the business.
I really dig how professional this cat is. He's calm, straight forward and he's the least-skeezy dude in the business in this film. A lot of the others are misogynistic stereotypes. They've got their place, too...their laughably outdated. So on one hand you've got a very good documentary on the business and on the other, you've got TONS of nudity.
Michael Moore should take a few notes from this and start putting naked broads in his pictures. Can you imagine how much better BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE (2002) would have been?
