Will I watch it again? Nah.

The original title, PRISONER OF PARADISE (available from Something Weird Video on a double bill with HITLER'S HARLOT (1973)), is considerably innocent compared to NAZI LOVE ISLAND. Being how this stars the, *cough*, talented John Holmes, you'll have figured out this is a XXX film; but this is back when porn had stories and production values. There's not much on plot and there's plenty of nudity and sleaze (of course) so it fits right in with the Nazisploitation genre.



This isn't the first porn entry with Nazis but it's the first with a 70s funk porn soundtrack that feels more at home in an episode of MAGNUM P.I.. It's actually pretty damn funny.

The sex scenes are actually pretty good. That was about the only thing that surprised me. Well, that and I made it through to the end without getting bored. That's no small order for a A) Nazisploitation flick, B) porn with plot, and C) Nazisploitation porn with a plot.
