IMDbTagline: They fought and loved with ruthless fury!
Plot: In the last days of WW2, women are volunteering from all over Germany to serve in the front lines by having sex with the brave Nazi soldiers. But when they start having sex with each other, things get complicated. Especially with the increasing danger from the vengeful Soviet army!
My rating: 6/10
Will I watch it again? Probably not but it wouldn't kill me.
This one's actually kind of fun and it stands out from nearly all of the others in the
Nazisploitation genre. How's that? Well, for starters, it's a Swiss production made for the German market so it's seen from the German point of view with the Russians as the bad guys and the Germans not doing anything nasty. There's a TON of nudity from absolutely gorgeous women, and they make a pretty good effort at combining battle footage from other movies make this one bigger than it probably should be.
The music is great albeit repetitive. Lots of rousing German marches and songs. Loved it.
They didn't waste any time with getting girls naked, either. Just a few minutes in and you know what you're in for. The women are very attractive but I never would have guessed that the collar wouldn't match the cuffs this much during WWII. Shame on whoever was in charge historical accuracy on the set!
And these girls were fearless, too! There's a battle at the end and the nice German soldiers are doing everything they can to get the girls out of harm's way to safety. Sadly, they don't have any clothes for the girls so they have to run for their lives without them. I know, right? I felt so bad for them and guilty for having to watch it.
What's fucked up about it is that they get right in the thick of the battle and explosions are going off within a few feet of them! No fucking lie! I really was shocked they let this happen. These girls had no protection at all. This shit looked dangerous as hell...but I'm glad someone had the good sense to film it.
And finally we get to every combat soldier's worst nightmare...
Another distinction this flick has in the genre is it is bereft of any torture (OK, there's one rape by a bad Nazi) or experiments and the girls are Germans wanting to serve their country and not prisoners being forced into sex. All of that makes it pretty tame compared to it's future genre siblings but it also gives it an innocence the others don't have. I kind of dug this one for that reason alone. Oh, and the print is fantastic and it shows off the quality of the film making. That's a huge plus. It's a solid entry into the
Nazisploitation field book that deserves a look even though there's really not much in the way of exploitation except for the gratuitous nudity. I can live with that.
