My rating: 6.5/10

Will I watch it again? No.

I caught this in the theater ten years ago and I thought it was pretty damn funny. The jazz club scene had me in stitches as well as Brian Fontana's (Rudd) cologne cabinet with Sex Panther (rowrrrrr).  Christina Applegate was delightfully funny.  Will Ferrell had his moments of funny as did the rest of the cast but there was something about watching it ten years later that lost the funny a bit.  The two scene cited above still make me laugh out loud and hard but there were fewer guffaws than before and I'm not sure why.  The sequel was OK and, like this original film, had its moments.  Everyone did do a fine job in conveying the 1970s.  I really dug setting the film during that era.  I guess I just wanted more laughs out of it.  Now that I've seen it twice (and the sequel), I don't think I'll feel the need to revisit it.
