Too bad SAVAGE! isn't nearly as thrilling and fun as the trailer is. But then that's the case with most of these flicks. SAVAGE! isn't all that bad but it's like one of those low budget Roger Corman Philippino flicks from this era that make big promises they can't keep. Part of the problem might be watching an inferior print. It's got what you'd want in an exploitationer...

Do yourself a favor, buy the 42ND STREET FOREVER VOL 2: THE DEUCE trailer compilation and watch the trailer a few dozen times instead. Close your eyes and listen to that groovy voice lay down those near impossible to live up to taglines.
