My rating: 6/10

Will I watch it again?  Yes.

The biggest problem I had with this one, seeing it for the first time, is there's not enough Freddy.  When he shows up at the pool toward the end it was gettin' down to business time but that only lasted a few short minutes.  I'm not looking for the Freddy Power Hour or anything.  I get that this is only the second film and it came out the year after the first one so you shouldn't go into this expecting high horror art but I did expect more than what they delivered.  You can't have a franchise with this many films in it last so long based solely on the first one...oh, wait, you can.  I've seen other horror franchises that lasted just because of that.   Oh, I LOVED the opening and closing scenes with the school bus.  It's too bad the rest of the picture didn't have that kind of vision.  I think the third film goes off on a different direction than this one and I welcome it.
