The All-American Girl (1973)

Director:  Mark Haggard

Writer:  Mark Haggard

Composer:  Don Dunn

Starring:  Peggy Church, Alan Abelew, Paul Berry, Andy Mitchell, Tracy Handfuss, Gloria Harris, Rim Randall

More info:  IMDb

Tagline:  Today the Men & Boys ... Tomorrow the World!

Plot:  Debbie's boyfriend Bobby has left for Guatemala for three months and Debbie is expecting a boring summer. But then she hasn't considered her neighbors and their 14 year old son, Johnny.

My rating:  6/10

Will I watch it again?  Probably not.

Debbie is just 16 and it's the Summer before her Senior year.  She has sexual encounters with everyone in this picture except Mother and The Waiter.  Almost everybody wins in this movie.  Peggy Church is attractive and alluring in the way she behaves and speaks.  Her solo scene was nicely done.

The sex scenes are pretty hot.  It's all softcore stuff but the scenes are done very well.  Even the music works well.  It's not that usual garbage you hear but things like solo piano and small ensemble stuff.  If I didn't know better, I'd say the music was written specifically for at least most of the sex scenes.  This is Don Dunn's only score and I think he did a great job for this film.  That all probably sound odd but I dug his use of music while Debbie is gettin' down.  The only sex scenes I didn't care for were the two with Mark, Debbie's middle-aged neighbor.  He came across as a little creepy.  Buy, hey!  It's the Swingin' Seventies!
