Will I watch it again? Nah.
It ain't half bad...it ain't half good, either. HATCHET is a by the numbers, self aware, let's throw in lots of quotes from other horror flicks kind of movie. For the most part you know exactly what's going to happen which is OK. It's one of those pictures where it doesn't matter and it's all about the kills. The gore is fun and there's a wee bit of nudity (oh, how I long for the the 70s and 80s again). It is what it set out to be and that's a ten little Indians, people in the woods style slasher movie with enough laughs to keep you entertained...until the sequel.
