Tagline: What would you do to get out of debt?

Will I watch it again? No.
As a long time Smith fan I was kind of expecting a little more out of this one. It's a real bummer the characters in this movie weren't able to make STAR WHORES. That had some promise for a lot of laughs. Once that piece of the plot was taken away from them it goes in a different direction (was this done for budget or legal reasons?). Banks and Rogen have great chemistry together. Banks blew me away. She was wonderful and played a regular girl perfectly. She was down to Earth and cool. It's kind of hard to believe that Miri and Zack hadn't slept together after all these years but then you wouldn't have that story thread to work with, would you. MINOR SPOILERS... I loathe the plot device where someone holds a piece of information from someone that's obvious they should disclose to resolve their issue only to reveal it at the end of the movie. That's fucking bullshit and it's total bullshit in this picture. I thought Smith would've been better than to use a cliche and bonehead move like that. As a whole the picture is cute and fun but without the truckload of laughs you usually get with his comedies. Z&M feels like his most mainstream picture so far and that he broke away from his normal type of pictures. I dig this cat's work and I'll keep watching. He's had an interesting career so far and it looks like it's about to get more so seeing that he's currently a movie making machine with one coming out this year and two announced for next year.
