Will I watch it again?  Yeah.

Director Villeneuve made a good sequel.  It's not as good as I anticipated but I enjoyed it.  It looks great.  I was displeased that it didn't look as new and shiny as the '82 film but I guess you can chalk that up to it's because of that incident that happened thirty years earlier.  I like the future tech and how seamless it was integrated.  It bugs the mess out of me that lights have to make a friggin' noise when they're coming on.  Ca-chunk, ca-chunk, ca-chunk as each one lights up.  The noises in this picture in general didn't bother me as much as some modern ones do.  The only other instance is when Wallace is controlling those bar of soap sized drones with the constant clicking sound.  It's more than thirty years into the future.  With all of the amazing technological advances they have they still haven't licked that.  The acting was great across the board and the ending was mostly satisfying.  I could've done with a lot more music.  What is there I liked but it's surprisingly sparse and when you consider how iconic Vangelis's was for the original film.   It's a long movie at nearly three hours but it didn't feel like it.  I dug the leisurely pacing.  Someday I'll watch this on my screen at home with the headphones on and soak it in some more.  In the meantime I'll slap in Villeneuve's previous film, ARRIVAL (2016), which I hear is excellent.
