A Fistful of Trailers (2000)
More info: Wild East Productions
Plot: 36 of the greatest Spaghetti Western trailers, including many never before seen previews of classic films. All these rare trailers have been transferred from 35 mm prints and digitally remastered to the best possible quality. If you like the Spaghetti Western genre, this is your chance to get your hands on some extremely rare previews in never before seen quality.
My rating: 10/10
Will I watch it again? And again, and again, and again...
I was fortunate enough to have gotten this off Ebay before this sold out many years ago. I've watched it probably close to a dozen times. The trailers are fantastic. There's a TON of actors you'll recognize and nearly every trailer is a gas. There's some great taglines in them like...
- When you've waited 15 years to find a man, it's a shame you can only kill him once.
- ...and he's throwing his weight around, one quarter of an ounce at a time.
- Then there's the half-breed. He didn't say much. He didn't have to!
- The bandits that killed five defenseless people made one big mistake...they should have killed...six.
Fucking classic.
If you're new to the genre, I would recommend start watching the first film and make your way down the list. It's not a bad way to go. I've seen most of these movies already and, for the most part, they're fantastic.
The first half of the 95 minute disc is enough to make you scramble for your wallet so you can start buying Spaghetti Western DVDs. This disc is a must for any fan of the genre or a fan of classic movie trailers. It's my favorite trailer disc of the probably 5o or more I own. It doesn't get better than this. As I mentioned, this disc has been out of print for quite a number of years so good luck finding it for a decent price. The same goes for the Wild East follow-up, FOR A FEW PREVIEWS MORE which is almost as good as this one.
